I have added a number of new folks to this list (welcome!) since the last 
update, so in the interest of list maintenance, I have two requests:

  - If you are on this list and should not be, let me know and I’ll take
    you off. Likewise, if you know someone who is planning to attend and
    they didn't get this email, email me.
  - If you didn’t get Updates #1 or Update #2 send me an email and I’ll
    mail you the updates.

VENUE CHANGE: WILLY BRANDT HAUS

Through a misunderstanding between us and The Wye about scheduling, it 
turned out that we couldn’t hold the event there as planned. The new event 
venue is in a beautiful conference room at Willy Brandt Haus, the national 
headquarters of the Social Democratic Party of Germany.

It is also in Kreutzberg, not very far from either the original venue or 
the conference hotel.

Jay Silver couldn’t make it to Sketching this year, but he sent me a box 
of Makey Makeys. I don’t know if there enough for everyone, but we’ll have

WHAT SHOULD YOU PRESENT?

In the first update I sent our presentation guidelines, but I’ve gotten a 
couple of email questions from folks asking me to clarify what we’re 
looking for. The simple answer is that we’re looking for excitement, 
novelty and passion more than rigor, detail or comprehensiveness, and that 
you should assume that the audience is technical and knowledgeable about 
the hardware space, but your specific perspective is one they probably 
haven’t heard before.

The ideal presentation for me is about something that you’re excited about 
RIGHT NOW and which you’ve done some recent work in that no one has seen 
publicly, but that you’d love to bounce off a group of peers. If you find 
yourself thinking about it outside of the office, excited by the 
implications and possibilities in it, that’s what we want to hear about, 
even if it’s literally and conceptually has wires hanging out and is held 
together with hot glue.

Again: please get us your shirt size. If you give us a size, we'll get you 
a shirt that size. If you don't, we'll have to guess at your size, and 
there's a good chance we'll be wrong, especially if we've never seen you
