BADGES? YES, BADGES

In the past we’ve always worked informally and have never had conference 
badges, but when meeting in a secure facility like PARC, we’re required to 
issue visitor badges to all attendees.

We will have these badges printed out and available in the PARC lobby on 
Friday morning, along with your breakfast and lunch meal tickets for the 
PARC cafeteria. Please get one then.

If you arrive later, please contact me and I’ll give you one. My number is 
415-235-3468.

Also, please keep your badges handy as you walk in and out of PARC, 
especially around breaks and lunch time. The nice security people will 
probably ask to see them.

THE SHUTTLE SCHEDULE

Hotel shuttle times have been posted in the Google Docs schedule. We have 
one shuttle that’s going to be taking folks from the hotel to PARC at 8AM 
each day, then from PARC back to the hotel at a little after 5PM.

On Saturday night the shuttle will also take folks from the hotel to the 
restaurant at 7 and will return at 10 (we think that the Friday restaurant 
is close enough to walk to, but you can take a taxi there from the hotel 
if you’d rather get a ride).

On Sunday the shuttle will take everyone who wants to go back to the hotel 
there at 5PM and will continue on to a microbrewery for folks who want to 
get drinks. It’ll hang out at the microbrewery for around 2 hours.

PARKING AT PARC

PARC has a small parking at the top of the hill, and a large one at the 
bottom. There should be a part of the large lot demarcated for us, but if 
you can’t find it or can’t find any parking there, please park somewhere 
else in the large lot and let me know.

THURSDAY PRE-EVENT DINNER

If you’re arriving tomorrow and would like to get together with other 
Sketchers, there’s an informal gathering scheduled at Estrellita, a local 
Mexican restaurant with a long local history. It’s a short walk from the 
conference hotel.

We made reservations for 15 people at 7PM there under my name. I won’t be 
able to be there in person, though, but Tod Kurt will be there as your 
host.

This is a completely optional event that’s not part of the formal summit, 
so feel no pressure to attend (but if you do, please pay your bill, since 
this one’s not on us ;-).
