[Sketching17] Thank you, mailing lists and next steps

Hi!

First of all: THANK YOU ALL for making this years' Sketching in Hardware 
the best one ever (IMO ;-). I am continuously amazed at the brilliance, 
reasonableness and enthusiasm of the Sketching community. Thank you.

Now, to some logistics:

  - I'm going to subscribe everyone on this list who came to Sketching to 
the Sketching in Hardware alumni mailing list (hosted on thingm.com). This 
list has everyone who has ever come to Sketching on it and it has proven 
to be pretty high signal/low noise channel. There are few rules to it 
other than to be reasonable. You can post job postings, questions and 
announcements to it, but please keep the volume low and relevant to the 
Sketching community. If you have any question about whether something is 
appropriate, ask me. If there's too much noise, please switch to digest 
mode.
  - I'm going to send out an anonymous participant survey later today. 
Please take the survey. It should take 10 minutes and we use the results 
extensively when planning the following year's events. It's anonymous and 
you won't hurt my (or anyone's feelings) if you're negative. We need to 
know how we can do better.
  - After I send out the survey, I'm going to shut this list down. If you 
want to keep chatting, I'm keeping the Sketching 17 Slack up indefinitely.

Again, THANK YOU! It was fantastic to see/meet everyone and to spend an 
amazing 6 days with you in Detroit.
